BVM (USN) celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi and marks the onset of Swachhta Pakhwada « 02/Sep/2019

To mark the beginning of the auspicious festival the ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ BVM (USN) celebrated the day with great devotion and gaiety.ࠍr. Rajkumar (TGT) apprised the students with the significance of this pious day. He acquainted that Lord Ganesha is a symbol of good fortune, wisdom and remover of all obstacles. Praising the benevolent lord, a mesmerizing bhajan ‘Ganpati Deva Teri Jai Jai Kaar’ in the morning assembly, left everyone spellbound. The whole campus reverberated with the chantings of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya’. 
 
Recognising the vital role of the schools in spreading the swachhata awareness & its implementation across the country, CBSE has directed all the schools to observe ‘Swachhta Pakhwada.’ Under this directive, Lovish Batra (XI Science) sensitized all about the intense need of cleanliness to make India a healthy nation.  He suggested Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations should be eco-friendly, the idols of Lord Ganesha should be made of clay which can dissolve in water after immersion. Students pledged to maintain cleanliness by devoting their 2 hours a week to spread the message of ‘Clean India Green India' by their active initiative for this drive.
 
Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi extended her greetings on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. She also motivated the students to make cleanliness a habit and their lifestyle as it is the first law to good health, physical as well as mental. She also said it will be the best tribute to our Father of the Nation.
